Belt conveyor with centering mechanism configurable

Description belt conveyor

Twin-Tech, a leading engineering company, specializes in the design and manufacturing of belt conveyors essential for the efficient movement of goods across various industries, including manufacturing, packaging, and mining. Our belt conveyor systems are engineered with durability, safety, and efficiency in mind, aiming to lower operational costs and accelerate production processes. Equipped with robust rollers and pulleys, driven by powerful electric drives, these systems ensure a smooth and continuous material movement from one point to another.

Conveyors are essential components of automated production systems in various industries. They play a crucial role in the efficient and streamlined movement of materials, parts and products through the production process.

The conveyor belts in industry are designed to allow continuous transportation of goods, increasing productivity and reducing human labor costs. They can be adapted to the specific needs of a production environment, such as the speed required, the size and shape of the objects to be moved, and the necessary transport distances. There are different types of conveyors, including flat conveyors and roller conveyors. A belt conveyor is suitable for smaller, irregular, or many different products.

Our belt conveyor can be custom made for you. Use our configurator to determine the price and specifications of your application!

Options and Parameters

Roller vs belt conveyor belts for industry

Roller vs Belt

Roller belts offer flexibility in weight bearing, making them suitable for transporting heavy objects. They can carry heavy loads and are robust, making them ideal for applications where strong support is required. This makes roller belts suitable for transporting items such as boxes, crates or pallets.
Flat belts have a wide range of applications and can be used to transport a variety of objects, regardless of size, shape or texture. Flat belts provide a better grip on objects with a smooth surface. This makes them effective when transporting items such as glass, sheet metal or electronics. In addition, flat belts generally require less maintenance because they have fewer moving parts.
AC vs Servo motor

AC- vs Servomotor

AC Motors are designed for a variety of applications ranging from general purpose drives to specific applications where precision and positioning are less critical. AC motors are known for their reliability and durability, making them suitable for
demanding environments and heavy loads. They are also generally energy efficient and inexpensive. Servo motors are specifically designed for precise positioning, speed and motion control. They typically offer higher performance and better control accuracy than other types of motors. They offer excellent controllability and positioning accuracy, making them suitable for applications where precision and dynamic movements are essential. They also offer fast acceleration, high torque density and a wide speed range. Servo motors require more energy and are generally expensive.
Centering mechanism

Centrerings mechanism

A centering mechanism can be added to the belt to aid further manipulation of the product. Using the centering mechanism, a cobot or other robot system can perform actions with the product. The centering mechanism is mainly used in combination with a cobot.
The mechanism is controlled by a pneumatic cylinder and is precisely controlled by various sensors in the conveyor. The mechanism requires flat surfaces to clamp and uses the guide at the end of the belt to clamp against.
conveyor guiding option configurable

Guiding

The conveyor is supplied with guide. The guide ensures smooth transport of the products. Two different types of guide are available for the conveyor. The guide supplied as standard is an extrusion profile that is mounted on the frame. This guide is simple, low and cheap.

FAQs

When selecting a conveyor, there are several important factors to consider.

  • Application Specific Requirements: This includes the type of products to be transported, weight, dimensions, shape, speed and other characteristics. Ensure that the selected conveyor is suitable for the intended application.
  • Transport distance and capacity: Determine the required transport distance and the required capacity of the conveyor belt. The conveyor must have sufficient length to move the material efficiently and be able to process the desired volume.
  • Conveyor type: Various types of conveyors are available, such as roller belts, flat belts, modular belts, screw conveyors, bucket conveyors, chain conveyors, etc. Select the one most suitable for the application, taking into account factors such as material type, shape, size and weight .

The use of a conveyor in the production process increases efficiency. The cycle time per product decreases due to the automation offered by the belt. If the system is linked to another robotic process, it could function completely autonomously.

The heaviest model can handle a maximum load of 50 kg/m. Different tires are available with different load levels.

Yes, if specified, our conveyor foodsafe can be produced. Correct materials, coatings and components will be used to make the conveyor food safe.

You can make the band work with your current system. For this we offer an interface between your current system and the belt. It is also possible to obtain the tape without this interface if this interface already exists or if you want to develop it yourself.
